December gold fell by $7.50 to $568 an ounce Friday morning after climbing nearly $9 in the previous session. "Unable to stand up to further liquidation pressure, gold bullion shed some of its Thursday gains and headed back towards the $560 level," said Jon Nadler, an analyst at Kitco.com. December silver fell 10 cents, or 1%, to $10.96 an ounce while December copper tacked on 3 cents to $3.33 a pound. Metals indexes declined, with the Amex Gold Bugs Index fell 2.1%.
